Set of Eight Laura Kirar for McGuire Rattan Ring Dining Chairs

$8,800.00

A stylish set of eight dining leather and rattan dining chairs made by McGuire, San Francisco, CA. The distinctive set is comprised of two "Ring Upholstered Arm Chairs" (#MCM283) and six matching "Ring Upholstered Side Chairs (#MCM284), all designed by Laura Kirar for McGuire. The set features tall curved backs framed in rattan poles joined together by leather rawhide lacing giving the chair frames a subtle faux bamboo design. The chairs sit atop slightly splayed rattan pole legs, tapered in front, and joined by demi-lune stretchers. The dramatic armchairs are distinguished with open arms filled by graduated rings. The rattan frames are finished in a dark ebonized finish, contrasting sharply with the ivory-tone leather upholstery on the seats and backs of the armchairs. The chairs are sturdy with solid joinery and construction in exceptional condition given age and use. The set is crafted in an unique blend of Art Deco and Organic Modern styles, well-suited for a variety of spaces. McGuire brass manufacturer's tags and original order tags are located on the underside of chairs. Measurements listed are of the side chairs. Armchairs measure 24" wide, 24" deep, 38" tall, and have arms measuring 24" tall. Sold as a set of eight.
