19th Century Country French Provincial Oak Center Table

Exquisite late 19th century round country French provincial center table crafted from oak. Made in the grand Louis XV style. The top has a gorgeous Fortuny style shimmery fabric inset decorated with acanthus and topped with a pane of conforming glass. The fabric has sage green and gilt tones and is mounted to wood. The table has extraordinary carved details and intricate floral motifs on the frieze. The table is supported by elegant cabriole legs having gracefully curved stretchers that conjoin in the middle with a large floral spray crescendo. The oak has a desirable aged patina and an inviting warm tone on the finish. The versatile table could also serve as a breakfast table with a dining height of 29.5 inches high. The table is solid with a handsome profile. From an estate in Napa Valley, CA.
