Rare English regency style library armchair designed by Ralph Lauren. From Lauren's Alastair collection, the chair features a hardwood frame with a dramatic black ebonized lacquer finish. Design by Ralph Lauren, finish by Theodore Alexander. Constructed in Italy and finished upholstery in the U.S. The chair is upholstered with a bespoke leather seat having a distressed finish to mimic age. The frame is accented by parcel gilt highlights. The frame has a ladder back and klismos style saber legs. Each chair is individually bench made and the chair retains its original order tags under the seat. The seat has large scrolled arms measuring 28 inches high. In exceptional condition as seen in photos.
