A handsome and bespoke English "Bond St. London" steel and leather steamer hat trunk or side table. The trunk was designed by Timothy Oulton and executed in the brand's signature Campaign style having an intentionally weathered patina. The trunk is clad in custom ordered polished steel outer panels and trimmed by thick patinated leather accented with hand-applied metal studs. The trunk is reinforced by leather-wrapped corner guards, along with leather handle straps and dual side lock-plate latches having "Bond St. London" stamps. The hinged lid opens to a generous black canvas fabric lined interior suitable for storage. The piece creates a pleasing contrast between the polished steel, patinated cognac-brown leather, and aged nickel-toned hardware. The materials creating a rich blend of Campaign, Industrial, Modern, and British Colonial styles. The trunk is a classic piece inspired by the charm and romance of a past era of long, luxurious, sea voyages. The versatile proportions make the piece functional as a storage trunk, side table, accent piece, drink table, or end table.
