Set of Twelve Louis XVI Style Mahogany Cane Dining Armchairs
Handsome set of twelve Louis XVI style mahogany armchairs made in the grand Louis XVI taste. The chairs feature mahogany frames inset with cane seats and backs. The frames have a regal square back and round seat. The set consists of all 12 chairs having arms measuring 28 inches high. The chairs have solid joinery and impressive craftsmanship with some chairs having a restored finish and some having an aged patina on the finish. Several chairs have been re-caned by The Caning Shop in Berkeley, CA with labels dating 1982. Each seat has a round linen style seat pad with new fabric. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
