Set of Ten French Art Deco Style Gondola Leather Dining Chairs
$8,800.00
A refined set of ten 21st century art deco influenced gondola dining chairs crafted in the manner and style of A. Rudin, San Francisco, CA. Each chair is crafted in dark espresso-toned hardwood with a subtle gloss finish and features a dramatically arched back punctuated by a horseshoe cut-out. The frames are crafted in a sculptural French art deco Ruhlmann influenced design, with slender tapered legs, gently descending arms, and a gracefully curved back rail. The chairs are accented by large domed patinated brass tack nailheads repeating along each edge and the perimeter. The upholstered is presented in a two-tone composition of a smooth cream leather on the inner and outer back panels, while the generously proportioned seat cushion is finished in a finely woven chenille style cream linen-blend textile. The chair frames are sturdy and solid having excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The leather is soft and supple with a desirable aged patina. The chairs have a distinctive profile and are very comfortable with a tidy fit and finish. Sold as a rare set of ten.
