Set of Ten English Hepplewhite Style Walnut Dining Chairs

Gorgeous set of ten English walnut dining chairs made in the Hepplewhite revival style of the late 19th/early 20th century. The chairs feature thick, robust walnut carved frames with a round cameo back having an urn form splat decorated with acanthus. The set consists of eight side chairs and two larger host arm chairs measuring 25 inches wide with a 28 inch high arm rest. The arms are gracefully curved ending with scrolls. The generous seats are supported by square reeded column style legs that are conjoined by demilune stretchers and centered by a carved rosette in the neoclassical taste. The chairs are heavy and solid with older repairs that commensurate their age and use. Sold as as set of 10.
