Set of Six Japanese Blown Glass Fishing Float Buoys

Large collection of six Japanese fishing floats or net buoys in rare large sizes. The hand-blown glass orbs measure from 9 inches (2) 10 inches (3), and one 14 inch float. The glass orbs have lovely jewel tones with two having a rope netting still attached. Used in Japan from the 19th-century to mid-20th century to float fishing nets. Great for display as objet d'art or paired with coral for a nautical theme. Sold as a set of six. From the Calistoga, CA estate of artist Ira Yeager (American 1938-2022).

Condition: Good, wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted by hand with an aged patina as seen in photos. Age appropriate wear with bubbles, fish eyes, chips, scuffs, scratches, and age related fading. No broken glass or cracks just age. Rope is distressed from exposure.
