Set of Six Baroque Style Oak Barley Twist Dining Stools

Late 19th century set of six English oak dining chairs repurposed and designed by Ira Yeager (American 1938-2022). The chairs were crafted in the baroque or Louis XIII taste featuring a square seat supported by barley twist turned supports and block legs decorated with carved rosettes. The seat has been upholstered with a faux leather naugahyde in a caramel color with decorative brass tack nail heads. The back supports have been modified into cone shaped reeded finials on the backs of the seat. Provenance: Purchased from the Yager Galerie in Calistoga, CA. Price is for the set of six.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted and updated with strong joinery. Oak has a lovely aged patina as seen in photos. Age appropriate wear with repairs and modifications.
