Set of Eight English Regency Style Dining Armchairs

Gorgeous set of eight hand-crafted beech dining armchairs made in the grand English Regency taste. The chairs feature large molded frames with gracefully curved arms, back, and legs. The square back is scrolled on the end and curves down to the flat arms that measure 27.5 inches high and end with large scrolls. The seat is bowed in front and has neoclassical style round medallions on the side corners. Supported by klismos style splayed legs that have a lovely taper and narrow in the back giving the chairs a dramatic profile. The wood has an intentionally aged, distressed, and warm finish to mimic age. The seats are upholstered with geometric design brocade fabric bordered by brass tack nail heads. The backs of the seats have grasscloth raffia insets. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a Classic English Regency profile. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
