Set Four Bronze Lions Head Garden Chairs After Giacometti
$18,800.00
Rare and opulent set of four iron patio and garden dining chairs after Diego Giacometti. The iconic mid-century modern chairs known as "Tetes de Lionnes fauteuils" feature patinated cast bronze mounted lion head finials on the arms and legs ending with patinated bronze lions paw feet. Heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The iron frames have a gracefully curved design that is both architectural and sculptural in the modern neoclassical aesthetic. The wrought iron has a dramatic black finish contrasted by the patinated bronze lions heads and feet. The seat cushions are newly upholstered with an all-weather fabric. Attributed to J. Art Iron Company foundry in Los Angeles, CA. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA. Matching pair of chaise lounges also available from the same estate as seen in photo 3. Sold as a set of four chairs.
