Pair Tetes de Lionnes Bronze Iron Chaise Longues After Giacometti
$14,800.00
Rare pair of bronze mounted iron chaise longues or chaise lounges after the iconic design by Diego Giacometti. The mid-century modern chaises feature patinated cast bronze lion head finials on the gracefully curved arms and bronze lions paw feet on the legs. Very heavy and solid construction with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The design is both architectural and sculptural in the modern neoclassical aesthetic. The wrought iron has a dramatic black finish contrasted by the patinated bronze head and feet. The frames have newly upholstered cushions in all-weather fabric and 4 new tires on the cast iron 6 spoke wheels. Attributed to J. Art iron foundry in Los Angeles, California. From an estate in Beverly Hills, California. Matching set of 4 armchairs also available from the same estate.
