A whimsical pair of "Twig Iron" patio and garden lounge chairs designed by Rose Tarlow with two matching ottomans. The iconic pair features large hand-wrought faux bois iron frames with a Neoclassical style geometric lattice inset on the seat and backs. The distinctive frames are constructed with gracefully curved serpentine hump backs, large open looped arms, and a shaped two-tier apron. The chairs are supported by dramatically curved double cabriole legs ending in small pad feet. The backs are adjustable through a sawtooth mechanism with multiple reclined settings. The ottomans match the chairs, crafted with square lattice tops having rounded corners. The set is finished with a beautifully weathered original "Rusty Painted" patinated finish in an oxidized umber brown. The chairs are strong with solid joinery and construction. Crafted in the style of Mario Papperzini, and similar European Neoclassical garden furniture makers. The chairs are suitable for a variety of in and outdoor spaces with a distinctive, well-heeled profile. The arms measure 24" tall. The ottomans measure 28" wide and deep, and 16" tall. The lounges measure 51" deep when reclined. The set includes four latter added, non-original seat cushions and ottoman cushions in an all-weather performance fabric. Sold as a set of two reclining lounges and two matching ottomans. The chairs are located at our Northern California warehouse ready for delivery and installation.
