A rare pair of exceptional rattan seating hand-crafted by McGuire artisans in San Francisco, CA. The living room suite is comprised of a settee and matching lounge chair. The set features whimsical twisted pole rattan that gracefully curves around the back and arms. The bundled rattan poles are bound with organic leather rawhide lacing, organizing the poles in a dramatic twisted "rope" sweeping form. The set is crafted with broad barrel-backs, rattan pole stretchers, and vertical spindle rattan back poles. The rattan has a bespoke finish in a blonde bleached driftwood-toned cerused or glazed finish having an intentionally aged coastal patina. The custom pair is completed with loose seat and back cushions in a soft oatmeal-toned striped cotton fabric. The pair is crafted in a distinct organic modern California Coastal style, and are well-suited for a variety of interiors. The pieces retain original McGuire plaques on bottoms. The measurements listed are of the settee. The chair measures 25" wide, 26" deep, 29" tall, with a seat heigh of 18". Arm height of both measures 22" tall. The frames are sturdy and solid having excellent joinery and craftsmanship in exceptional condition. The set comes from a dry non-humid, mold-free California climate.
