Pair of Louis XVI Style Marble Top Mahogany Commode Dressers


Opulent pair of French commodes, dressers, or chest of drawers made in the grand Louis XVI neoclassical taste. The pair feature dramatic Italian Carrara marble tops. Each case is fitted with three large storage drawers having brass ring pulls with the top drawer locking with a key. The drawer fronts have fine bronze trim. The front corners of the cases have decorative fluted columns with conforming round marble tops that are 1 inch thick with a classic ogee edge. Beautiful profile with a dark rich finish on the mahogany. The cases are supported by tapered fluted legs ending with brass sabots. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA. Sold as a pair.
