Pair of French Louis XVI Style Carved Beech Armchairs
$3,500.00
Dramatic pair of highly carved beechwood armchairs crafted in the grand French Louis XVI taste. The chairs feature a large square back with a scrolled crest decorated with floral detail. The generous seat is bowed in the front with large padded, scrolled arms measuring 25.5 inches high. The frames are upholstered with a whimsical cheetah print fabric with a nicely aged patina. The seat is supported by tapered, fluted legs ending with peg feet. The chairs have a handsome profile with a beautifully aged finish. The fabric is faded but shows well and compliments the weathered finish on the frames. From an estate in Beverly Hills, California. Price is for the pair.
