Amazing pair of early 19th century English regency cock fighting chairs crafted from mahogany. The frames have a padded curved back supported by gracefully curved arms decorated with acanthus. The round seat has a thick cushion with newly upholstered fabric in a white Irish linen. The seat is supported by turned legs in the front ending with brass casters. The chairs were designed to be sat on backward using the crest rail as an armrest. The chairs have a distinctive profile and craftsmanship. From an estate in Santa Barbara, CA.
