Pair of 19th Century French Louis Philippe Fruitwood Hall Chairs

$4,800.00

Gorgeous transitional pair of 19th century French hall chairs crafted from fruitwood. The chairs are crafted in the Louis Philippe manner and period but also still retain styling design cues from the empire period. The frames have gracefully curving backs and legs with the seats having swan neck style corners on the crest. The earlier style of geometric lines and sharp corners are softened and curved. The fruitwood has warm honey-toned patina and lovely woodgrain patterns. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with an older restoration and presentable upholstery. From an estate in Napa Valley, CA.
