Exquisite pair of cerused oak and rattan nightstands, or end tables made in the California coastal organic modern style by McGuire artisans. These rare tables feature a thick pole rattan frame lashed together with leather rawhide laces on the exposed joints. The drawers are crafted from oak and the tables have a lovely cerused lacquer finish in the coastal aesthetic. Each drawer is fitted with patinated, pierced round brass pulls. The cerused finish accentuates the natural woodgrains in a soft ivory tone. McGuire plaque on inside of drawers. Sold as a pair. From an estate in Malibu, CA. The design often attributed to Elinor McGuire is light and open, grounded in natural materials.
