Rare mid-century modern monumental oak trestle dining table attributed to French designer Charles Dudouyt (French 1885-1946). The massive table features a solid hand-hewn top crafted from nearly 4 inch thick oak timbers. The heavy top is supported by a trestle with iconic corkscrew or twist legs ending with 10 inch wide shoe feet. Dudouyt was known for his industrial art deco or arts and crafts designs with large proportions The top has a live or hand-finished edge and hand-hewn marks are still visible on the bottom of the huge slab. Matching bench seats are also available shown in photos.

Condition: Good, wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with strong, solid joinery and construction. Top removes from base. Age appropriate wear and fading with age cracks, chips, and scuffs as seen in photos.
