Modernist bespoke rug designed by David Rockwell for The Rug Company measuring 18 feet wide by 24.5 feet long. The dramatic carpet was commissioned by Samantha Todhunter Design, London for an important historical estate in Presidio Heights San Francisco, CA. The custom rug features a light silk center orb spotlight that gradually fades into the indigo blue ends. Painstakingly hand-crafted with multiple concentric circles of fading Tibetan wool yarn that is a true feat of craftsmanship. The rug was designed to match and anchor a custom color De Sede DS600 non-stop snake sofa. The monumental rug provides a strong colorful focal point to any room or large space. Designed to draw attention like a spotlight it also resembles a full moon motif. Hand-knotted to 100 thread count. Original MSRP over $124k.
