Midcentury Modern Italian Fornasetti Style Trompe l'Oeil Cabinet

Fantastic mid-century modern Italian cabinet or bookcase made in the manner and style of Fornasetti by Palladio. The green painted wood cabinet features a case decorated to appear as a floor safe with an open front door. The whimsical painting depicts the interior of a safe with bags of money, jewelry, stacks of cash and important documents. The cabinet door opens with patinated brass pulls to a three shelf storage area. The case has serpentine sides and is supported by faux bronze round feet. Beautifully crafted with a lovely profile. Aldo Tura also designed bar cabinets in a similar style. From an estate in San Francisco, CA. Makers plaque on verso.
