Mid-Century Italian Majolica Neoclassical Style Garden Seat Stool

$3,800.00

Spectacular Mid-Century Modern Italian Majolica garden seat stool made in the neoclassical taste. The heavy stool has a square form decorated with a subtle greek key design around the sides and acanthus on the corners in a cabbage green color. The square seat is topped with Tromp I'oeil citrus yellow seat cushion with green tassels and welt. The garden seat has a beautifully aged patina on the glazed finish with craquelure and chips in the finish that adds to its character and charm. The stool was made for Paul Hanson who designed custom lighting in the US since the 1920s. The seat is signed underneath. Would also make a great drinks table.
