Fantastic French country provincial or Louis XV style wingback bergere á Oreilles featuring a dramatic blue and white crewelwork upholstery. Crafted from rich, dark mahogany. The frame is embellished with decorative floral motifs and gracefully curved serpentine rails. The blue and white crewelwork features stylized paisley and floral designs. The fabric is bordered by a thick navy welt. The arms are padded measuring 23.5 inches high. The chair is very comfortable with a deep, padded loose seat cushion. The frame is sturdy and strong having excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The chair is supported by cabriole legs ending with scrolls. The chair is in exceptional condition as seen in photos.
