$7,800.00
Fantastic 18th century French Louis XV entry or foyer console table lacquer painted by artist Ira Yeager (American 1938-2022). The table features a bust of a French Nobleman painted over a French script on a scarlet red ground. The table has a serpentine apron with carved foliate motifs. Supported by long, elegant cabriole legs decorated with rocaille shell motifs in a parcel gilt finish. The table was constructed with wood peg joinery and has a turquoise lacquer finish with a beautifully distressed patina and strong joinery. Provenance: Display piece from Yager Galerie in Calistoga, CA. Ira Yeager loved refinishing period 18th century furniture in the French provincial style. This whimsical table is a lovely example with a painting featured on the top.
