Bespoke library table or desk crafted in the neoclassical taste by John Hall Designs, Los Angeles, CA. The desk is constructed from beech and features an intentionally weathered, distressed patina to mimic age on the lacquered finish. The desk is fronted by two hidden storage drawers that slide and operate smoothly. The apron or frieze features arch shaped designs with parcel gilt highlights throughout. The case has a distressed lacquered finish in cream and is supported by elegant tapered legs with a distinctive profile. The table is labeled, signed, and dated 1996 for an estate in Beverly Hills, CA. The desk is made in the style and manner of other California artists such as Nancy Corzine and Dennis and Leen. Sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The top has a natural aged finish that showcases the fine woodgrains. 24.75 inches from floor to apron.
