Kenneth Lynch Style Star and Dolphin Garden Table and Six Chairs
$6,800.00
An elegant cast aluminum patio and garden dining suite comprised of six Star and Dolphin armchairs chairs (Model #FC20) and a round filigree dining table attributed to Kenneth Lynch and Sons, Oxford, CT. Crafted a 19th century Neoclassical style, the set is beautifully constructed from cast aluminum and finished in a powder-coated matte black. The filigree dining table features a broad circular top measuring 54.25" wide, and is cast in an elaborate scrolling and radiating acanthus pattern emanating from a central starburst medallion. The top is crafted with a pierced openwork design to allow water to pass through for outdoor use. The top sits above a regal cast base made up of four dolphin motif form supports with finely detailed accents descending into slender reeded legs and hoofed feet, all joined by a circular ring stretcher. The matching chairs feature a pierced openwork back with a curtain-like swag along the top rail, a central starburst rosette medallion flanked by X-form stretchers, and scrolled arms ending in stylized dolphins. The pierced filigree acanthus seats mirror the table, along with similar tapering legs having hoof-form feet. Crafted in a distinct Neoclassical style, the suite is well suited for use in a sunroom, outdoors, poolside, terrace, or a patio. The table measures 54.25" wide and deep and is 28.5" tall. The set is sturdy and solid having excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The finish has a desirable lightly faded patina commensurate age and use. The dramatic neoclassical style is reminiscent of 19th century designs by Molla. Sold as a set of seven. From a grand estate in the Napa Valley, CA.
