Karl Springer Style Organic Grasscloth Waterfall Console 10 Ft

$6,800.00

A monumental mid-century waterfall console constructed out of a woven grasscloth embellished frame measuring more than 10.5' long in the manner and style of Karl Springer. The impressive grand piece is constructed on a massive scale, crafted out of a continuous curved plane in the distinct "Waterfall" silhouette. The surface is finished in a hand-woven raffia style grasscloth, laid in a diamond pattern having rich tones of honey and caramel. The cloth covering is expertly laid to exact symmetry to emphasize the geometric details of the design. The surface is sealed with a glossy lacquer finish, showcasing the hand-woven texture and color of the grasscloth beautifully. Each side of the table ends in slab legs, each grounded by a rectangular brass clad sabot foot. The entire piece is clad in the grasscloth finish aside from the brass sabots, pairing a crisp organic modern surface with a sharp modern silhouette grounded in natural materials. The elongated  wood frame has solid joinery and craftsmanship in exceptional condition. Crafted in the iconic style and manner of designer Karl Springer (Germany, 1931-1991). The piece is well-suited for Mid-Century Modern, Organic Modern, Palm Beach, Hollywood Regency, or Coastal interiors as a bench, hall table, console, display, or entry table. From an estate in Hollywood, CA.
