Stunning late 19th century Japanese Meiji period six panel byobu screen featuring a deep blue waterscape with pheasants and ducks. Made in the Kano school style with natural ink and color pigments over a dramatic gold leaf square ground. The painting showcases vibrant green tones in a flowing landscape with moriage style chrysanthemums in white and yellow. Signed with two artists seals on the left side. Very impressive screen with panels that have separated. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
