Grand Rococo Style Mahogany Console Table Speckled by Ira Yeager


Monumental 20th century mahogany console table or sofa table featuring a speckled lacquer finish by artist Ira Yeager (American 1933-2022) for his gallery in Calistoga, CA. The table features carved rocaille scrolls with acanthus. The serpentine top is supported by massive cabriole legs ending with scrolled feet. The legs are conjoined by an x formed stretcher with a turned finial in the center. Painstakingly lacquer speckled on all sides with a dramatic red over a black ground. Very heavy and solid piece that would provide a strong anchor in a large room or foyer. Provenance: From the Yager Gallerie Calistoga, CA.
