Distinctive French sofa settee featuring a carved mahogany frame crafted in the Louis XVI taste. The settee has a molded frame with gracefully curved arms and a flat back crest. The seat is fitted with a deep, loose seat cushion. The entire piece is upholstered in a shimmery fabric with a geometric diamond pattern over a sky blue ground. The fabric while being vintage shows beautifully and is very presentable without losses. The settee is sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The mahogany has a subtle aged patina to commensurate age and use. The sofa has a handsome profile and tidy finishes. The seat is supported by tapered, square legs ending with spade feet.
