Grand English late 19th century buffet sideboard or server featuring an Italian Carrara marble inlay top. The case is crafted from rare fruitwood in the aesthetic movement taste with decorative arts design faux bamboo trim. The case is constructed mostly using wood peg joinery and has a warm dark honey finish. The buffet is fronted by two drawers above two storage doors opening to a storage area with an adjustable height shelf. The doors have iron lockplates with a key. Extraordinary fit and tidy finish with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Well preserved example made on a large scale with a lovely fruitwood finish that showcases the rich woodgrains.
