A monumental 20th century French trestle dining table constructed from oak in a rustic country Provincial style measuring nearly 10' feet long. The massive table features a substantial rectangular solid plank top measuring 2.75" inches thick made up of rustic oak timbers cut with sharp clean lines. The top rests on a broad and boldly shaped trestle base constructed with a pair of baluster-form pedestal supports. The legs are each raised on shaped sled feet and connected by a single long oak stretcher pinned through each upright with exposed hand-cut wood key joinery. The oak is finished with a rich honeyed walnut patina showcasing the woodgrain patterns, knots, and figuring. The table has a distinct profile crafted in a rustic Country Farmhouse French Provincial style, well-suited for a variety of spaces. The table has ample leg clearance measuring 27.25 from floor to the apron. The table is heavy and solid having excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The massive top is surprisingly flat given the scale with very minor warp and shrinkage.
