Imposing country French provincial dining table crafted from oak. The massive table features a 3.5 inch thick top board having round demilune ends. The large timbers are conjoined with numerous butterfly joints visible from the top. The boards have a rustic, old world hand-hewn finish in a primitive aesthetic. The top is supported by a pair of monumental baluster formed turned legs ending with 10 inch wide cross shoe feet. The table is very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The design is in a refectory or monastery table style. The carved oak has a rich, dark smooth finish that showcases the woodgrain patterns and old world style of craftsmanship.
