A handsome late 19th century French country farmhouse dining table constructed in solid oak measuring 9 feet long. The 2" thick top features plank construction showcasing the woodgrains capped by breadboard ends and an aged, genuine patina to the dark oak finish. The top is supported by substantial baluster-turned blocky legs ending with bun feet. The top is supported by a trestle base having two low side stretchers and a long central stretcher. Old markings, knots, and wear from age give the piece an authentic character. A single frieze apron storage drawer adorns one side with a simple iron pull ring. The table is sturdy and strong having excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The oak has a desirable natural aged, distressed patina as seen in photos. The table brings an authentic aged country presence, functional as a dining table, or refectory table. The design blends French Provincial, Country, and Rustic Traditional styles in a classic European farmhouse aesthetic. The leg clearance measures 23.75 inches.
