Substantial country French provincial farmhouse dining table measuring nearly 8 feet long. The table features a 3 inch thick top crafted from massive oak timbers. The top is supported by an exceptional trestle base having baluster shaped legs and double stretchers constructed with exposed mortise and tenon joinery. The gracefully curved legs end with stepped shoe feet measuring 6 inches wide. The table is very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The dark honey toned patina showcases the oak woodgrains throughout. The top of the table is surprisingly flat given its size and age with soft rounded corners. Ample leg room measuring over 27 inches from the floor. The finish has a lovely, aged patina that is very smooth.
