A handsome English Georgian style executive swivel desk chair, upholstered in a rich tufted leather. The chair features a high back with a gentle tilt, rolled arms, and a deep and generously padded seat. The entire chair above the base is fully diamond button-tufted in the Chesterfield style with tight buttons and neat seams. The weathered leather originally in a rich cordovan tone upholstery has a beautiful antiqued faded patina from authentic use, displaying warm tones of cognac, saddle, and oxblood red throughout. A continuous band of patinated brass nailhead trim traces the serpentine seat apron and wraps the arms and back. The chair sits atop a swivel and tilt base stamped by Doerner-Faultless of Waterloo, Ontario, a respected Canadian manufacturer of office chair hardware, and is grounded by a four-leg wood base fitted with brass rolling casters. Crafted in a English Regency Chesterfield style similar manner to pieces by makers such as Ralph Lauren, the chair is well-suited for use in an office, study, or library.
