19th Century Swedish Neoclassical Style Birch Veneer Bench Seat

Gorgeous late 19th/early 20th century Swedish bench seat constructed in the neoclassical or Swedish empire taste. The bench features a blonde birch veneered frame having gracefully curved, flared arms with slats. The back of the bench has windows with curved inset splats having an ebonized finish. The generous seat is upholstered with a vintage fabric decorated in the style and manner of Fortuny in a silver gilt toned finish. The bench is supported by square tapered legs. Handsome profile with minor losses on the birch veneer finish that commensurate its age and use. From an estate in the Napa Valley, CA.
