Curvaceous 19th century English Victorian library table or writing table desk. The table features a 1" inch thick slab of Carrara marble on top with a serpentine shape and an ogee edge. Supported by a mahogany case having a storage drawer in the front and a decorative scalloped apron. Beautifully decorated cabriole legs on each corner showcase acanthus carving and end with scrolled feet. The legs are conjoined in the middle with a gracefully curved X-shaped stretcher. Would also make a great console table. From an estate in Bel Air, CA.
