Whimsical late 19th century English mahogany drop-leaf writing table featuring a speckled lacquer finish by artist Ira Yeager (1933-2022 American). The elegant table is crafted in the regency taste with a drop-leaf case fronted by a small storage drawer. The table has a reeded edge and measures 28.5 inches closed and opens to 43.5 inches. Supported by a trestle style base with neoclassical column legs. The feet are gracefully splayed ending with animal paw patinated brass claws on casters. Painstakingly lacquer painted in a festive marigold color with a black speckled pattern resembling an animal print. Provenance: Purchased from Yager Galerie in Calistoga, CA. Matching mirror also available.
