18th Century Country French Provincial Fruitwood Farmhouse Work Table

$8,800.00

Handsome 18th century country French provincial farmhouse table from the estate of artist Ira Yeager (American 1938-2022). The table is very heavy and solid constructed from fruitwood with a gorgeous weathered patina. The plank top has a small banded edge and a worn top with stains and wear. The case is made with peg joinery and has three large storage drawers with patinated iron pulls. Supported by tapered legs with replaced bottoms. The table showcases the beautiful woodgrains and desirable wear. Ira used this work table in his Calistoga, CA gallery. The table has ample leg room measuring 24.5 inches from the floor to the apron. This versatile style of table was the work horse of French kitchens. Full of character and charm with a European farmhouse profile. The soft wood has a warm honey toned patina with solid joinery.
