Hendrix Allardyce Italian Baroque Style Gilt Throne Chair

Opulent throne chair or armchair made in the Italian baroque style by Hendrix Allardyce Hollywood, CA. The armchair features a large hand-carved beech frame decorated with a dramatic gilt finish. The wood has an intentionally aged, distressed patina to mimic an 18th-century piece. The large flat back has gracefully curved arms ending with scrolls. The generous seat is supported by cabriole legs. The chair is upholstered with a chenille style patchwork fabric having a lovely floral and foliate motif. The fabric has a border on the back of patinated brass tack nail heads. From a Hendrix Allardyce installation in Beverly Hills, CA. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with an aged patina on the gilt finish.
