French Zinc Grape Hotte Basket Painted by Ira Yeager

Weathered French grape harvesting basket or hotte crafted from patinated zinc. The gracefully curved form features an old, faded and distressed painted signature by artist Ira Yeager (American 1938-2022) of his gallery in Calistoga, CA. The front of the basket reads "Yager" with faint designs above. Yeager used the basket as a prop at his gallery to display alongside his French paintings.
