19th Century Pair of Italian Baroque Style Giltwood Bed Coronas
$7,800.00
Dramatic pair of large 19th century Italian bed coronas or crowns made in the Baroque taste. The coronas feature demi-lune shaped frames embellished with gold leaf and decorated with delicate acanthus leaves and stylized fleur de lis motifs. The tops end with large shaped finials. The finish has a weathered, worn, and faded patina adding to their character. The crowns could also be mounted on a wall inverted and topped with marble for a dramatic pair of demilune mounted consoles. Very rare size and scale with a distressed patina on the finish as seen in photos. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA. Purported to be a Dennis and Leen installation. Sold as a pair.
