Late 19th century whimsical set of thirteen pieces of porcelain serveware by Bruder Schwalb Merklin (Schwalb Bros). The set consists of twelve round plates decorated with fish motifs and one long serving platter. Made in the Czech Republic Bohemia region. Each colorful plate has a makers mark BSM on the bottom. Good condition with an aged patina on the gilt highlights as seen in photos. From an estate in San Francisco, CA. Plates are 8.5"d and platter is 23.25"w x 8.75"d x 2"h.
