English Victorian Adam Style Three Panel Folding Screen


Classic English victorian style three-panel folding floor screen made in the Adams taste. The screen features neoclassical motifs of swag, flowering vines, wreaths, and bellflowers on canvas. The screen in centered by a round cameo of an idyllic landscape supported by a scrolling vase and arrow. The paper has an aged, faded and distressed patina with dark lacquer craquelure on the finish. The scene is bordered by patinated brass tack nail heads. The back of the screen is unfinished. The screen has a strong wood frame. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
