Fascinating late 19th century Chinese near life sized carved sculptural figure of a male demonstrating and labeling acupuncture points. Crafted from wood and painted plaster with Chinese script to teach and explain the Asian concept of Yin Yang balance according to traditional Chinese medicine. The model is depicted standing on a wooden stump. The original painted finish is aged and distressed with fading and losses that add to its mystique and folk art appeal.
