Pair of Skirted Scroll-Back Woven Raffia Slipper Chairs
$2,400.00
An organic modern pair of scrolled and skirted slipper chairs crafted from woven raffia grasscloth. The chairs feature a prominent English Regency style sweeping back, terminating in a tightly rolled crest. The seat of the chairs are generously padded and accented with buttons and descend into a skirt with a gentle curved hem. Small square block feet in a dark walnut stain finish are visible beneath the skirt. The chairs are upholstered across the entire surface in a natural woven raffia grasscloth in an open weave pattern lending warmth, texture, and an organic flair to the chairs. The chairs are sturdy and strong having solid joinery and construction with a lightly aged patina on the finish. Crafted in the style of American organic modern designers such as Harrison Van Horn and Michael Taylor, the chairs are well-suited as dining chairs or accent chairs. Sold as a pair.
