Pair of Mario Papperzini for Salterini Garden Lounge Chairs

$9,500.00

Authentic pair of Italian of mid-century modern patio and garden adjustable chain-back Amalfi lounge chairs designed by Mario Papperzini for John Salterini. The iconic chairs feature wrought-iron frames with neoclassical lattice back and seat in a geometric pattern. The chair backs have adjustable chains for reclining at different angles. The seats are supported by thick, iron legs having a hand-hammered finish conjoined by star shaped stretchers. The Amalfi chairs have the classic ball finials on the backs and arms with the arm rests measuring 22 inches high. The iron has a beautifully weathered, aged patina with a verdigris finish in a chic robin's egg green tone. The sculptural modern profile has generous seats with new non-original seat cushions in an all-weather beige fabric. Sold as a pair. From an estate in Hollywood, California.
