Set of Six McGuire Rattan Organic Modern Club Lounge Chairs

Exceptional and rare set of six labeled McGuire pencil reed rattan club chairs or lounge chairs. Made in the California coastal organic modern style by McGuire artisans from bundled pencil rattan reeds. The frame has gracefully curved arms featuring a distinctive open fretwork design of x patterns. The generous seats have fitted loose seat cushions that are thick and plush. They are upholstered with vintage fabric in a buttercream tone and two in a pastel-toned patterns having a faded finish. The thick rattan bundles are reinforced with cream-colored leather rawhide laces that beautifully contrast the rattan. The rattan has a desirable aged, distressed patina full of character. The oak seat frames have new webbing for added support. Each chair is strong and sturdy with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Sold as a set of six from an estate in Santa Barbara, CA. Each chair has a McGuire label plaque and pearl M signifying the highest quality.
